A short post to tell you that I won't comment yet about SharePoint Workspace 2010 publicly (TechPreview either 14.0 or 14.1).

 

I will just say that SharePoint Workspace 2010 contains three key directions :

- the first one, the Hero Story, is a to take off-line a selected set of a SharePoint site, easy and simple end user approach,

- the second one, is about SharePoint Workspace 2010 collaborative spaces : a new format of Office Groove spaces to allow new scenarii of Office Groove 2007 spaces,

- the last one, is about Office Groove 2007 traditional spaces in order to ensure to existing long term customers their investments : this is particularly important for those who use Groove collaborative methods and tools for Emergency situations, Merge and Acquisitions scenarii, International Cross-Company Project Management, Continuity of Operations processes, Exceptions Handling in industrial project management and a set of other high added value circumstances...

 

A fourth way to share "workspaces" still exist : the traditional "folder" share which is normally NOT-activated within corporations but can be used within small organisations or during a limited period of time.

 

My key objective is currently to focus on what counts in these areas to the 500+ recurrent customers, who have been working with me and intend to continue to do so.
